Who owns Ten-mile Creek?

The vast majority of parcels containing 10-Mile Creek, that are really “benefiting” from 10-Mile Creek are owned by entities such as the City of Sylvania, the Franciscan Sisters, The Boy Scouts, the Metro Parks, the Village of Ottawa Hills, the University of Toledo, the City of Toledo, and the Lucas County Port Authority, who all happen to be conveniently Lucas County tax exempt from any assessment made to “improve” the 10-Mile Creek running through their property.

These are maps from Areis, the Lucas County property database, to show that most of the property owners having 10-Mile Creek on their property in Sylvania, Ottawa Hills and Toledo, Ohio are entities that care for the river and are already funded by tax dollars, either directly or through grants.
